Optical transmission terminal
In contrast to OXC and OADM, optical transmission terminals are the simplest optical terminal system. An optical transmission terminal mainly consists of a pair of optical wavelength multiplexer and demultiplexer. The former functions to integrate different wavelengths into a single fiber, while the latter oppositely function to divide the wavelengths in an inbound fiber into multiple outbound ports.
